Join the Impact is a national, grassroots movement that has organized to protest the passage of Proposition 8, Proposition 102, and the other anti-gay measures that were passed on Tuesday.
This is more than a state issue, more than a political issue. It is an issue of equality across America. A few well-funded people were allowed to take away the rights of a minority.

In my to effort support local businesses and oppose large corporate chains I have decided to stop supporting Starbucks.
While portraying itself as a socially-responsible employer, Starbucks pays baristas a poverty wage of $7.60/hr. In addition, all retail hourly workers at Starbucks in the United States are part-time employees with no guaranteed number of work hours per week.

Last week I discovered a very cool progressive local organization called The Phoenix Permaculture Guild. Which is a local 501c3 education organization with a mission to create in the ground green living solutions. Their community based learning model utilizes the skills of the local community to deliver unique opportunities for all members to learn new skills.
